Group Financial Reporting Manager

Sydney

The Finance Reporting team is responsible for the production and review of key group external financial reporting deliverables, with a focus on leveraging data, automation, technology solutions and our people to better the way we work and how we operate.

What role will you play?

You will partner with multiple groups across Macquarie in relation to the groups’ external financial reporting deliverables that include group, bank and non-bank interim and annual financial statements and related regulatory reports. You will also be responsible for month-end reporting consolidation controls and participation in financial reporting related projects that contribute to the continued success of this function. Additionally, you will prepare board audit committee documents and board papers, reporting advice, interpreting accounting and regulatory reporting requirements within a business context.

What you offer

  • Tertiary degree in accounting or similar and CA/CPA qualified (5 years post qualification)
  • Previous experience in financial services or investment banking industry preferred
  • Strong understanding and ability to interpret financial statements and accounting requirements and standards (Australian Accounting Standards/International Financial Reporting Standards)
  • Good interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in cross-functional and cross-border teams
  • Knowledge and passion for data and regulatory reporting in a controlled environment.
