The Governance team is responsible for providing company secretarial and corporate governance support to entities within Macquarie’s global consolidated group and is part of Macquarie’s Legal and Governance support group.

What role will you play?
Working in this highly visible and varied role, you will be a point of escalation for our local stakeholders and provide key advisory support to senior directors, business groups and support divisions on all aspects of corporate governance, company secretarial practice, company law and internal policies. You will be responsible for a portfolio of Hong Kong entities and your responsibilities may also extend to entity governance of Taiwan and China entities as well as other global policies, process improvements, subsidiary board practices and innovation projects.
What you offer
- A successful track record in a company secretarial or corporate governance role(previous working experience from a financial institution is an advantage)
- Membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) or the Chartered Governance Institute of Hong Kong or a legal qualification
- In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong and PRC company compliance, statutory, and regulatory requirements essential as well as experience as a named company secretary on multiple entities
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and accurately together with excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
- Fluency in written and oral English is a must, with fluency in Cantonese and traditional and simplified Chinese (Mandarin) highly desirable
