Incidents & issue Management - Senior Associate

Help us deliver key risk management activities in Macquarie Asset Management. Join our new Risk Digital Transformation team and play a pivotal role in redesigning our risk management process to enhance efficiency and provide valuable insights.

In Macquarie Asset Management, you will join a global asset manager that aims to deliver positive impact for everyone. What role will you play?

In this role, you will work as a subject matter expert for the end-to-end management of incidents and issues across Macquarie Asset Management business processes globally. This also involves identifying and monitoring key risk indicators as well as issue and incident trends and insights. You will be responsible for the continuous development of our incident and issue management process, including driving automation. You will also help develop and provide training to Macquarie Asset Management and Risk stakeholders on incident and issue management.

Additionally, you will contribute to Group-wide framework projects and play a crucial role in establishing a strong working relationship with our Risk Management Group, which oversees the Macquarie Incidents and Issues Policy.

What you offer

  • Relevant experience and/or education in areas such as operational risk, internal or external audit, risk management including an understanding of business processes and controls, compliance, and assurance is essential.
  • Experience with financial markets, particularly asset management and analysis of non-financial and/or financial risks is highly desirable.
  • Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau is essential.  Background in analytics and/or data is advantageous, including experience using data analysis tools and scripting languages such as SQL, Alteryx, R, VBA, and Python.
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset, capable of identifying trends and providing insights from incident and issue management activities. Comfortable with engaging in robust discussions with stakeholders of various levels and performing root cause analysis as part of the incident/issue investigation process.
  • Excellent communication skills to work as a team and build strong relationships within the global Risk team and broader Macquarie stakeholders. Comfortable with initiating and leading conversations to discuss any issues, trends or insights identified.
  • BA/BS degree with a focus in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Law, or other related fields. Enrolment in the CFA or FRM program (or similar programs/courses) is advantageous.
