The Global Emerging Market Debt team is research-driven emerging markets sovereign debt solution. We seek to generate strong relative performance versus the benchmark using in-depth research to construct a diversified portfolio of the most attractive sovereign and quasi-sovereign bonds.

What role will you play?
Reporting to the Head of Emerging Market Debt, you will primarily support the team’s trading activity in hard, local currency and foreign exchange market (FX) instruments. You will work closely with the firm’s Hard Currency and Local Currency Portfolio Managers and with the team’s senior trader. Additionally, you will need to collaborate with other investment teams at Macquarie and articulate your views clearly to a broader investment audience.
What you offer
- To be successful you will likely have gained experience of trading EM hard and local currency bond markets.
- Have 1-3 years of trading experience ideally from the EMEA region.
- Basic knowledge of Blackrock Aladdin system and familiarity with standard financial market platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters etc.
- You will likely have a Bachelor’s degree and a wish to progress toward the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter.
