What role will you play?
Your role will be based in Toronto where your team will support the North American and global businesses, consisting of both local and offshore clients. You will work closely with other members of the macro team to provide insights on global macroeconomic and financial market developments to our Institutional clients and internal stakeholders. Your strong interest in building a career as a leading Economist, coupled with the self-motivation and dedication to achieve this, will be paramount to your success in the position.
What you offer
- Two years of related work experience is required, while experience working as an Economist is preferred; this may have been gained from within the public sector (e.g. Bank of Canada or Ministry of Finance) or a private-sector role (e.g. at a financial institution)
- Proficiency in Excel is required, with advanced proficiency preferred
- A high level of academic achievement in an Economics or Finance discipline
- A passion for working with data and using it to help the team communicate its views on the macroeconomy and financial markets
- Experience with Macrobond and/or Python is considered an asset
