We have an exciting opportunity to join our Group Treasury team as an Assistant Vice President. Our team is responsible for a range of processes related to the Balance Sheet Management (BSM) team's activities as well as some ad-hoc projects and analysis.
In this role, you will be responsible for production and reporting of Group’s funded balance sheet as well as other analysis and sub-processes related to the funding and liquidity external disclosures. You will be managing a team who will be preparing the monthly funded balance sheet including commentaries and ensuring stringent controls and risk governance around quarterly external disclosures.
You will be responsible for the quality analysis of the movements in the numbers reported including building business context to the story. You will develop relationships with key members of extended team in Group Treasury in Gurugram and the funding and liquidity teams in Sydney; as well as business unit teams and supporting financial reporting and control teams. You will build strong technical competence and ensuring resources are shared via cross training and team learning. You will also ensure adequate documentation of the updates to methodology, concepts and processes underlying the team's work and regular reporting to stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have an outstanding academic background in a financial or quantitative degree (accounting, economics). You will have 8-10 years post qualification relevant experience and experience in balance sheet management, or Treasury will be an advantage, in particular any experience related to financial reporting and management reporting. You should have sound knowledge of the financial and banking services industry, products and shared services operating models.
You will have strong risk management, the ability to identify potential risk and build controls to mitigate. You will have good attention to detail, an inquisitive and analytical mind-set, strong communication skills including stakeholder management. You will have a high degree of comfort in dealing with information technology, and have very strong MS Office Skills. Expertise on system improvements would be an advantage.
