Business Analyst – Equity Derivatives – Front Office

We are looking for a talented technologist who wants to work as part of the team that builds and maintains an industry leading warrants market making system.

Macquarie’s Equity Derivatives desk is a leading warrant market maker across the Asian region with over 20 years experience. We rely on in-house developed automated market making systems to generate profitable and sustainable income. Our in-house software is engineered to competitively make markets using a number of proprietary automations , manage trading risk and comply with liquidity and exchange obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a global team of motivated and talented people to deliver quality technology solutions in a demanding business environment.
  • Understand the overall system architecture and ensure solutions are correct, robust and comply with liquidity and exchange obligations.
  • Collaborate with the technology team and stakeholders to understand, track and document problems or features throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Identify new opportunities to improve or simply the platform.
  • Provide guidance, training and problem solving support to other team members.

Essential Skills

  • Understanding of order management, trade lifecycle, risk management and derivatives.
  • Previous exposure to trading systems with a basic understanding of software architecture, API’s and SDLC.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Complimentary Skills:

  • Training in Finance (or similar)
  • Awareness of compliance, exchange and liquidity obligations for market making.
  • Experience with warrants market making systems.
  • Experience with C#
  • Experience in any of SQL, Git, Python or Jira.
  • Understanding the basics of derivatives.
