Join us as an Enterprise Scheduling Engineer to ensure the steady operation of our critical Global Enterprise Scheduling Service, which offers industry-leading, cloud-hosted services to Macquarie. Our service supports the Control-M suite of applications, providing scheduling consultancy to Application teams that leverage this service. Additionally, it supports our global team members in performing Level 1 and Level 2 functions.

What role will you play?
As a Senior Scheduling Engineer, you will work with various technical team members within the various Macquarie lines of business to support their batch schedules as per best practice while maintaining Scheduling standards. In this role you will provide consultancy service to different Application Teams to help them build their batch schedules as per best practice while maintaining Scheduling standards and work with Application design teams to review operational readiness of new projects and contribute to solution designs and develop standards where appropriate. Additionally, you will be resolving scheduling issues escalated by Application Teams, utilizing in-depth knowledge of the tools, and understanding of Application Team context and provide training for new or updated processes to the central offshore Scheduling Team. You will also review and improve Scheduling standards and procedures to increase the maturity of the Operations Model on an ongoing basis.
What you offer
- 5+ years of DevOps experience (Infrastructure as a code, CICD pipeline, Ansible playbook, Cloud native tools)
- 7+ years’ experience working in a complex scheduling environment using Control-M suite of applications, out of this the past for years should be in supporting the platform as a Level 3 Support
- Good understanding in AWS cloud platform where Control-M is hosted, to be able to troubleshoot issues, Control-M components upgrade and perform configuration updates independently. Python and bash scripting knowledge and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Solid understanding around Batch Administration and maintaining Scheduling Standards and processes.
- Troubleshooting knowledge for Control-M Agent which run on Windows and Unix based operating systems hosted on private and public cloud.
