Operations Risk Senior Associate

Sydney

Join a team of experienced risk professionals within our Corporate Operations Group and partner with Macquarie business and technology divisions to drive a strong technology risk management culture.

What role will you play?

Partnering with Technology teams you will ensure that technology Risk is managed effectively, in line with Macquarie’s Operational Risk Management Frameworks and associated policies. You will assess and report technology and security incidents, facilitate risk workshops, and produce operational risk management reports, while working with stakeholders on their risk management issues and action plans. Finally, you will present the status of risk issues and actions and facilitate sessions to ensure remediation is executed, to drive a strong, proactive risk culture and a clear understanding of the risk framework.

What you offer

  • 1+ years technology experience within operational risk management or assurance, ideally gained in the financial services sector, in-house or working with clients in a professional services environment
  • Ability to think laterally, problem solve and grasp abstract concepts and complex situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to initiate and lead conversations with business leaders and risk management colleagues regarding anticipated and emerging issues
  • Motivated and comfortable working within a dynamic, fast paced, enterprise agile environment
  • Recent experience in designing, implementing or assessing Public cloud deployments (IaaS and PaaS) will be well regarded.
