Southeast Power Scheduler

Join Macquarie’s North American Gas and Power team as a Southeast Power Scheduler located in Minneapolis, MN. 

Our Commodity Markets and Finance Division provides a full spectrum offering to clients with exposure to commodities while also providing risk management, financing, physical execution and logistics across the full spectrum of commodities and in all regions.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will coordinate and implement the execution of Macquarie’s Southeast power transactions.  You will work with scheduling and trading teams to resolve flow issues, contribute to the optimization of Macquarie’s assets and ensure all activity is accurately recorded in internal systems for profit and loss calculations and invoicing. Some evening and weekend work may be required from time to time. 

What you offer:

  • Strong organizational skills and keen focus to detail:
    • ability to make critical decisions, problem solve, work independently, and to multi-task (pathing, tagging and blottering) under strict deadlines with a complete focus on accuracy. 
  • Strong sense of urgency:
    • Able to put the role first and get paths/tags out in a timely manner. 
  • Problem solving ability:
    • be able to identify the problem and provide solutions as “miscommunications” will happen amongst counterparties.
  • Previous scheduling experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills
