Commercial and Technology Lawyer

Are you an experienced Commercial and Technology Lawyer who is looking to thrive in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment?

Our Commercial Legal team provides legal guidance on complex and high-value technology deals – from core infrastructure and cloud contracts servicing the whole Group to business-specific deals involving technology integration and business applications.

Using your exceptional attention to detail and strong negotiation skills, this role will see you reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a range of commercial contracts with a strong focus on technology, telecommunications, regulatory and outsourcing matters.

Additionally, you will support a diverse portfolio consisting of procurement, human resources, property and brand and marketing matters for multiple EMEA jurisdictions. You will be risk management focused, participate in risk review processes and may be required to update precedents and policies.

We would expect you to be an experienced Commercial and Technology Lawyer, admitted to practice in the United Kingdom, with at least five (5) years’ PQE gained in an IT/TMT team in a law firm and/or as an in-house Commercial and Technology Lawyer.

You will add value with your experience in commercial and technology matters ideally within the financial services industry, however, relevant experience in other industry sectors will be considered.

You will be used to working with a variety of internal stakeholders of all levels and leveraging your problem-solving skills with a commercial approach. You will have excellent drafting and communication skills, and the ability to work independently coupled with a ‘can do’ attitude.

You will be a team player with the desire to provide quality client service to a diverse range of internal clients on a range of local and global projects.

You will have an innovative mindset and be open to change, as Commercial Legal is always trying to think of ways to improve the way we work including through automation and the use of other technologies.
