Associate, Operations Business Management

Join the Operations Business Management team in Sydney, and take part in a diverse and exciting range of work and projects.

Ops is a global team, responsible for business aligned trade support services such as middle office, trade validation, trade documentation and settlement support, as well as a range of group-wide services such as regulatory reporting, client lifecycle management, payments and treasury support, reconciliation services, and various Human Resources (HR) Ops services including; global payroll, onboarding, HR data and systems support, and mobility.

We are looking for a highly-motivated individual with the following attributes:

  • Strong technical skillset; excellent in Excel with experience and genuine interest in other user based tech applications such as Alteryx, Power BI and PowerApps
  • A continuous improvement mindset who challenge the status quo and enjoys solving problems
  • An intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning
  • Analytical and data driven, with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret, convey, and synthesize information clearly and concisely
  • Strong planning skills, while also being flexible and comfortable working in a constantly changing and/or ambiguous environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working directly with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high levels of motivation

Sitting with a key central function this role will require you to collaborate across Ops teams and key stakeholder groups, overseeing a wide variety of activities on behalf of the Division. A key responsibility of this role will be oversight and enhancement of our centralised process automations and expanding our capability to visualise and democratise the data we oversee. Additionally there will be responsibilities and opportunities across some of the following activities:

  • Financial management and analysis
  • Management information reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Communications and story-telling
  • Business Resilience oversight
  • Change capability & transformation frameworks
  • Management of Operations Risk & Control standards, policies and governance frameworks
