We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Credit Risk Regulatory Reporting Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the preparation and preliminary review of Macquarie’s regulatory obligations to the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA). You will be focused on critical reporting activities related to regulatory Capital and Risk weighted assets (RWAs).
As a Manager, you’ll ensure the robustness of key reporting and process controls, including submission trend and variance analysis. You’ll establish working relationships with data owners across multiple lines of business to validate the understanding of reporting requirements and ensure complete and timely data submissions. You’ll drive identification, remediation, monitoring and escalation of data issues as well as partner with technology and data management teams to drive improvements in data quality.
You’ll support projects to meet new regulatory requirements and help interpret and bring understanding around them while also driving change initiatives across the team, including process improvements and data analytics. You’ll keep up to date with regulatory consultations and assist with communicating regulatory requirements, while ensuring operational risks are managed from a controls assurance perspective and that knowledge is shared through cross training and team learning.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have 6-10 years' experience with an outstanding academic background in a financial or accounting or technical degree. You’ll have good experience in Alteryx or Power BI tools. Working knowledge of RWA/ Exposure/Provisions calculations will be added advantage. You’ll have understanding of regulatory capital and key banking products. You’ll have the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team. You’ll have excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to manage multiple priorities. You’ll have the ability to develop strong working relationships with team members and key internal clients including compliance, the systems team and business unit finance teams. You’ll have experience using process improvement using tools like Alteryx, Power BI or Similar ETL tools, Qualification levels of CA, CFA, CPA, FRM, MBA Finance, B.Tech would be an advantage.
