Join our retail banking division as a Data Quality and Governance Manager where you will support in playing a key role in uplifting our data quality, ensuring standards are upheld for regulatory reporting, compliance, and customer service purposes.
About the role
As a Data Quality/Governance Senior Manager, you will get to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and data teams to uplift the current data quality management capabilities and leverage these across general banking and financial services products, with a specific focus on car loans products in the initial 12 months of this role, with a focus on home loans subsequently. Data integrity is increasingly at the forefront of our business requirements, and you’ll have the opportunity to support on high visibility work.
You will partner with internal stakeholders to understand areas of data risk, data sharing obligations and risk of breaches. In addition, you will be validating assumptions used to derive and transform data, provide guidance on appropriate ‘reasonability’ checks of financial and non-financial data and attest to the accuracy of the data through support from the Data Ecosystem.
You day to day activities will include:
- enhancing data quality and controls for loans products
- uplifting the enterprise data management framework across car loans products
- co-ordinating actions across the product area to ensure effective data management
- escalating problems to management and governance teams where necessary
About you:
With a passion for getting things right, you’ll ideally bring an understanding of data governance frameworks, critical data elements, lineage, data risk controls, and repositories. You’ll be able to work cohesively with various teams and stakeholders to ensure our data is fit for purpose while meeting regulatory requirements, considering future needs and how we might be at the forefront.
- Ideally a tertiary degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, or related field
- a natural ability for communicating to a wide range of stakeholders
- sound problem solving and analytical skills
- the ability to work flexibly and manage multiple tasks
- previous experience in data quality management
- ideally have previous experience in loan products
