Manager/Senior Manager - Wealth & Banking Remediation

Sydney

You will join our Wealth Platform Risk Governance team within our Banking and Financial Services Group as a Senior Manager where you will work within our ecosystems of teams to actively lead and support the risk and control environment within Wealth Product and Technology.

You will utilise your proven experience in remediation design, execution and governance to partner with the business to ensure efficient and accurate remediation of incidents across our value chains.

We are currently working in a hybrid model both remotely and in our Shelley St offices.

Key responsibilities include

  • End-to-end management of remediation activities across the business, including remediation strategy, resource planning, frameworks, methodology, reporting and execution.
  • Identify, document and embed best practice, governance and efficiency opportunities across the end-to-end remediation process; document and maintain standard operating procedures for the function.
  • Active project, workflow and resource management to ensure remediation matters are effectively assigned and appropriately managed within the risk framework.
  • Present and escalate matters to senior leadership and subsidiary Boards; ownership of formal remediation management forums.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Group policies and guidelines relating to remediation.
  • Share and adopt learnings and utilise expertise across the broader Group and industry in relation to remediation approaches and best practice.
  • Work with stakeholders across various disciplines including Risk (Lines 1 and 2), Compliance, Legal, Product, Tax, Finance and Communications to ensure appropriate input, alignment and approvals are obtained.
  • Assist external licensees utilising the Macquarie Wrap Platform with their remediation requirements.
  • Engage and manage relationships with external service providers where required.
  • Generate quantitative and qualitative insights and reporting on remediation matters.

About you

  • Be an experienced professional with a proven track-record in remediation, ideally within the Wealth Management industry
  • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Commerce or a similar discipline
  • Be able to take a hands-on approach with a delivery mindset, while also providing valued insights and strategic direction
  • Have strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, resilience and sound judgement, with an ability to communicate with and influence senior stakeholders
  • Be a good problem solver; with an ability to understand a given problem and identify the key drivers and potential solutions
  • Be able to motivate others,who brings out the best from your team and colleagues
  • Demonstrate a high degree of commercial acumen and self-motivation
  • Possess the ability to deliver in a fast-paced, output focused environment
  • Have the ability to bring a high level of energy and commitment to your work.
