Executive/Manager – Client Lifecycle Management (KYC)


We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive/Manager for a Seoul-based role. They will be joining the Client Lifecycle Management Team (CLM), which performs KYC checks to fulfil AML regulatory requirements in multiple jurisdictions. The suitable applicant should be enthusiastic, flexible and able to demonstrate initiative in a challenging and varied role.

Your responsibilities include:

  • performing AML and non-AML due diligence on incoming and existing clients/counterparties.
  • conducting research and obtaining information from publicly available resources, screening entities for adverse news, sanctions or politically exposed persons.
  • determining and escalating high risk triggers and other potential risk findings, maintenance of accurate and complete data and documents into our customer databases.
  • team collaboration and client engagement is key as you will be working extensively with various teams across global locations to fulfill an entity’s KYC requirements as mandated by compliance and regulatory standards.
  • reviewing alerts generated when counterparty names are screened against watchlists.
  • categorizing the findings as relating to a politically exposed person (PEP), negative news or sanctions issue.
  • determining how serious the issue is and either closing or escalating, as appropriate
  • updating the client AML system with findings
  • potential for cross training on other AML activities performed in the broader team

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • a minimum of 3 years’ experience in KYC or AML
  • interest in KYC onboarding/refresh process and AML regulations Research and analytical skills, with the ability to summarize complex findings
  • strong written and verbal communications skills
  • attention to detail and organization skills
  • experience working within a financial institution performing critical control functions
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • willingness to work on shifting schedules
