UX Designer - Sydney

In this role you will apply user-centered design methods to translate user needs, as well as business objectives and technology capabilities into best-in-class user experiences.

Turn conceptual ideas into realistic UI mockups/prototypes that address strategic and tactical goals, deliver production-ready specs and follow the work through implementation, release, and post-release to measure success and learn with our cross-functional teams.

Act as an active UX/UI team member by proposing new ideas, sharing your work early and often, and giving constructive feedback to ensure a cohesive design language. Create working prototypes to define interactions and animations as well as collaborate with the User Research & Content Optimization team to develop experiences that are personalized and optimized for each audience

Keep the website design system up-to-date by documenting intended functionality, behaviors, and interactions of UI components in collaboration with the digital team and seek ways to enhance the experience of our websites — focusing on mobile, responsive design and general site performance

You will also collaborate with our development team to create high-quality front-end UI components that function beautifully on different devices and viewports and present your work to clients alongside the Product Owners, explaining user journeys to multiple stakeholders

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • 5+ years of experience as a UX Designer and/or designer
  • Bachelor’s in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Psychology or a related field
  • experience with Workfront project management software, JIRA or similar project management software
  • significant experience designing and delivering world-class digital experiences
  • User-centric design approach that involves rapid testing and iteration of designs
  • exceptional skills with standard UX software such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, Invision
  • ability to use prototyping tools to convey design intent

Other experiences would be preferred but not essential:

  • experience leading UX implementation and strategy
  • Financial services industry experience, a plus

To be considered for this position, you have a portfolio or sample work available for review

If you are looking to solve problems and design exceptional user experiences, then apply today.
