Associate - Reconciliation


Join our Investment Management Operations team where you will be given the opportunity to work in funds management or custodian background while growing your career in a supportive environment.

As part of a high-performing and inclusive team, you’ll be responsible for the preparation of time critical custody cash, stock position, futures, forwards, swap reconciliations which includes both manual and automated. Timely research and clearance of reconciliation breaks as delays or errors could potentially lead to financial or/and reputational risk and the preparation of daily control reports. You will monitor reconciliation breaks and ensure daily/weekly follow up and escalations, whilst investigating ad-hoc queries from asset managers, clients and custodians and conduct monthly aged items reporting of reconciliations breaks and the follow up and clearing of Nostro items.

This role will ideally see you come from a funds management or finance reconciliation background with experience in a similar operations role. You are a proactive individual who will not only follow the procedures but will actively contribute to the development of the internal control environment and the efficiency of the group.

To be successful in this role, you’ll required to have tertiary qualifications in a business discipline with overall post-qualification experience of 1-3 years (Associate) and 3-5 years (Sr. Associate) with a financial institution, preferably working in an asset reconciliation team for a global custodian or an asset manager.

You’ll have knowledge of the financial/banking services industry and shared services operating models, product knowledge  (Equities, Futures, FX, Fixed Income, Options, OTCs, Swaps, etc.). You will have previous  experience working with tight deadlines in a high paced environment and have the ability to think laterally, solve problems, resolve issues and identify process improvements. You will have strong MS Office skills in particular, Excel and Word, and strong written and verbal communication skills. You will have a willingness and flexibility to work across different time zones to support globally.
