Macquarie Asset Management - Private Credit team, invests in infrastructure debt assets on behalf of Macquarie's institutional client base and is a leader in the asset class. This team combines the best of Macquarie’s deep infrastructure debt experience with a flexible and highly dynamic approach to investing for our clients and growing opportunities for the business. The Private Credit team also invests in other asset classes such as Commercial Ground Leases and Fund Capital finance to which you will have exposure.
You will work within the New York team as an Associate contributing to the continued growth of the Private Credit platform. You will assist with the origination, assessment and execution of new investment opportunities and the management of existing portfolio assets.
Your responsibilities will require you to:
- Undertake and review due diligence on potential investments and assist with all aspects of investment analysis
- Build, review and run sensitivities on financial models
- Assess and comment on commercial contracts
- Assess the appropriate debt level and debt structure for potential transactions
- Support with the negotiation of terms sheets and documentation of facility agreements
- Assist with sector analysis
- Contribute to produce investment papers and responses to client and Investment Committee requests
- Have responsibility for aspects of ongoing portfolio management
- Deal with internal queries on a day-to-day basis
- Assist in the assessment of borrower requests.
You will have experience in project finance, infrastructure lending or similar as well as robust financial modelling skills.
Your credit research and analysis experience will be used when writing investment reports and making presentations for senior management and investment committees. Preferably you have some experience with financial statements, corporate finance, or loan documentation.
You will have effective interpersonal skills, the ability to develop relationships across various business stakeholders, borrowers and their advisors and with institutional investor clients. As a highly motivated and proactive individual, you will be able to execute critical work streams efficiently. You will have the ability to work autonomously, deliver results within deadlines and have strong attention to detail. Your sound business judgment, pragmatic and creative approach to problem solving is crucial in this role.
