Project Analyst - Commodities & Global Markets


Utilise your Project & Change delivery experience in a newly created role, within our Commodities & Global Markets Group. This is a unique opportunity for you to join a growing and supportive team, working to deliver regulatory and transformation initiatives across the Group.

You will join the Commodities & Global Markets Change Management team, who are responsible for the governance and delivery of the Group-wide project portfolio. As a Project Analyst, you will be supported by an experienced project team to partner with our businesses, Legal, Operational Risk, Technology and other support functions to drive cross divisional change across the CGM, gaining exposure to all parts of our global, multi-faceted business.

What impact will you have?

As a Project Analyst, you will partner with an experienced Project team to support the delivery of group-wide initiatives. Day to day you will be responsible for:

  • Working in partnership with the Project Managers to plan strategic projects and change initiatives. Depending on the project requirements, you will be involved in:
    • Business Analysis – mapping system and process changes
    • Project Analysis – supporting in the delivery and reporting of complex projects
    • Junior Project Management - running smaller initiatives independently 
    • Change Analyst – conducting impact assessments, developing plans and ensuring appropriate communication of group-wide changes
  • Tracking of all objectives and goals while maintaining the quality of project deliverables within the scheduled time frame
  • Assisting in the preparation and presentation of governance materials (i.e. Steering Committees, Working Groups)
  • Reporting of progress to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Identifying, communicating, and managing both dependencies and risks to delivery

What skills will you use?

To be successful in this role, you will bring with you prior experience in a Projects role as either a Business Analyst, Project Analyst or Change Analyst, and a desire to grow your understanding of a Global Markets business.

In addition to this, you will have strong stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to build strong, effective relationships and an ability to drive change and influence at all levels. Other skills and experience may include:

  • Have a flexible, proactive, solution oriented approach and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to demonstrate high levels of drive, innovation, attention to detail and a strong resilience and tenacity
  • Have the ability coordinate multiple assignments, work independently and be able to manage both technical and process change
  • Possess a computer science, maths, finance or engineering related degree
  • Exposure to financial or commodity trading businesses and products or experience  managing technology change initiatives is an advantage.
