Senior Associate, Group Treasury - Funding Execution

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate, who is a highly motivated and curious professional, are ready to take on the next challenge in their banking career.  

You will gain exposure to global capital markets working within this high-profile team, based in our global head office in Sydney. This market-facing team are responsible for supporting our businesses by developing and implementing Macquarie’s funding strategy, including the execution of debt securities, bank loans and capital transactions across all major jurisdictions. 

Key responsibilities will include:  

  • Supporting execution of funding transactions including proposal, approval, execution and settlement of the deals. 

  • Analysis of debt capital markets and funding opportunities 

  • Preparation of investor marketing materials 

  • Maintenance of debt issuance programme documentation

You are an ambitious individual with an interest in financial markets, who is keen to begin your career with a globally recognised institution. You will also have: 

  • an undergraduate degree - a commerce/finance or legal major is beneficial  

  • effective communication skills, both written and verbal 

  • the ability to develop strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders 

  • the ability to critically analyse, summarise and disseminate complex information  

  • high attention to detail, proactive and the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously 

  • keen willingness to learn about financial markets and instruments  

  • experience using Excel, PowerPoint and any other digital analytical platforms would be beneficial
