Credit Analyst


We are looking for an experienced Credit Analyst to join our Specialized and Asset Finance platform to make an immediate impact by taking ownership and accountability of their workload within the heart of our business, whilst being immersed in a workplace culture built upon innovation. This position is in Jacksonville, FL and offers a hybrid work schedule with the opportunity to work a couple of days per week remotely.

Reporting to our Associate Director of Risk, you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing all types of applications for equipment financing that come through our door from vendor partners and sales, typically up to $1M. Your excellent communication skills will assist you in clearly articulating your recommendation to both business development and credit discretion holders, ultimately making decisions of your own.

Your role will entail:

  • Checking the validity of the applicant and completing compliance and due diligence checks
  • Determining if the applicant is creditworthy and within risk appetite framework by analyzing all information provided and externally available, including bureau reports, tax returns, financial statements, and bank statements
  • Assessing the equipment types and accrediting the supplier of the equipment
  • Reviewing the source of the transaction and monitoring the performance of their portfolio
  • Being highly responsive and making speedy decisions, to approve and fund applications
  • Building relationships with all partners, internal and external

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in the finance sector required, with previous experience as a credit analyst working within equipment financing preferred
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business-related subject, with an excellent academic record
  • Have a strong interest in data, companies, and their financial performance
  • Be proactive and an organized self-starter with a positive attitude, powerful work ethic, strong attention to detail and a questioning mind
  • Be a critical thinker with a strong numerical and analytical mindset, decisive and able to work well under pressure
  • Be an enthusiastic team player, with a flexible work approach and desire to succeed
  • Have strong organizational and collaborative skills who can build strong working relationships whilst also working independently
  • Have excellent communication skills, able to express their thoughts and ideas clearly
