Head of Wealth Product Management


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Banking & Financial Services Division as the Head of Wealth Product Management in the Wealth Platform Product team.

The head of Wealth Product Management will be responsible for oversight of the Wealth product management teams which include Wrap (Investment and Super), managed accounts and the managed funds relationship management team. This role will be working closely with each teams senior leader and is a highly visible role that will have exposure across the broader business. The product management function is responsible for the effective running of the products, driving and supporting the implementation of digitisation initiatives, overseeing product compliance including product disclosure and managing investment manager relationships who use the platform.

As a Product Management Director you will support a collaborative and high-performance culture. You will have proven people management skills including fostering a high performing and engaged workforce, developing leaders and managers, strategic analysis of teams to help them evolve, career planning and development of strategies factoring in both internal and external insights.  Ideally you will have a sound understanding of investment and superannuation regulation and governance, the financial services industry and proven product management experience.  

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategy development and execution: Creation of clear and actionable strategies across the three product streams.  Working with stakeholders across the ecosystem and understanding the opportunities to evolve the business, the successful candidate will prioritise the key deliverables for the year and support their prioritisation.
  • Resource management: With many demands on the teams, its important to have superb prioritisation, influencing and relationship management skills to agree on the priorities for the team and to manage to tight delivery timeframes.
  • Superannuation and IDPS regulatory change: Working with the team and subject matter experts, you will understand the requirements and work with the various teams to develop an end-to-end program of work to deploy the relevant changes.
  • Working Together / Projects: Manage / assist with other Wealth Product initiatives and projects, which may include participating in workshops internally and with advisers and clients that use our products, facilitating sessions and either leading or supporting the change program.
  • People leadership:  Managing three Senior Product Managers who individually oversee each of the three teams to support them to execute against the agreed strategy, manage the teams and ensure we have a highly engaged and productive workforce.

Your excellent strategic thinking, through to analytical and problem-solving skills, superb people leadership skills, along with effective stakeholder management and a keen eye for detail is what enables you to effectively manage and deliver results for a wide and diverse group of stakeholders. You will be self-motivated and able to effectively manage deadlines, deal with a multitude of different tasks concurrently and prioritise appropriately. In addition, you will possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate strong relationship building skills with both internal departments and external parties.
