Senior Manager, Group Treasury - Funding

Macquarie is passionate about diversity and inclusion and empowers staff to aim for excellence in everything they do. We believe that flexibility is a key driver to our people’s success and welcome the opportunity to discuss what flexibility means to you.

Group Treasury is seeking a Senior Manager with skills from a variety of backgrounds, such as banking, consulting and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, to join its Funds Transfer Pricing team.

The Funds Transfer Pricing team is responsible for advising on the funding risk treatment of long term assets and for setting the price of funding to each of Macquarie’s diverse businesses. Within this energised team, you will be exposed to the inner workings of an internationally active financial conglomerate group. As a senior member of the team, you will also be responsible for coaching and developing team members.

You will contribute to the development of policies and practices that will shape the outcome of Macquarie's business activities, whilst partnering with Macquarie’s senior management and operational divisions analysing their funding requirements and costings. Key to your success will be your ability to engage with senior stakeholders in other areas of Group Treasury and across Macquarie.

As a Senior Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Applying your commercial acumen and knowledge of funding and liquidity risk to manage and review funding treatments, methodologies and behavioural assumptions.
  • Building relationships with business partners to create optimal solutions and a framework that takes into account the business and regulatory context.
  • Working closely with other areas in Group Treasury including Funding Execution and Liquidity Risk, to ensure that advice to businesses is insightful and consistent.
  • Optimising Fund Transfer Pricing processes and providing insights deriving from funding treatments. Key Fund Transfer Pricing processes include setting of Fund Transfer Pricing rates and charging frameworks and Profit & Loss reporting.

You will have strong communication and influencing skills with a proven ability to apply a commercial lens and focus on the bigger picture. Experience in a highly numerate and analytical environment with in-depth knowledge of a treasury function would be considered favourably.
