Manager - Java Engineer


Join our Enterprise Technology team as a Manager - CDH Java Software Engineer and help deliver the next generation of data analytics solutions within our Corporate Operations Group.

As part of a dynamic and inclusive team you’ll use your in-depth knowledge to build and maintain microservices and cluster of APIs that power our Corporate Data Platform. You'll be responsible for architecture, design, development, testing and operations and deliver incrementally in iterative cycles. An agile mindset and keen interest in software engineering across a range of technologies will serve you well in this role.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with multiple middleware applications, including Java as well as experience in detailed requirements analysis, software design, testing, and deployment
  • Experience in event and message-orientated platforms (e.g., Solace, Kafka)
  • Understanding of modern approach to integration (cloud, micro-services, APIs)
  • Spring boot microservice development experience
  • Experience in developing, designing and implement secure REST APIs
  • Understanding of Gradle/Maven
  • Experience in Test Driver Development and understanding of Junit, Cucumber and Integration Testing.

It is also beneficial if you bring understanding or hands-on experience of docker and Kubernetes.
