Senior Manager – Group Treasury, Sustainable Finance


Take the next step in your career and build a solid foundation within our Group Funding, Debt investor Engagement and Sustainable Finance team, we are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our high performing team.

You will be directly exposed to Macquarie's senior management, in a non-hierarchical, merit-based environment, and will work closely with other areas of Group Treasury and the Financial Management Group. In this diverse role, you will also work with Macquarie’s various business units to understand the impact developing a Global Debt investor engagement and management strategy to increase diversity of investors, and depth of relationship and to increase our presence and credentials in the Sustainable Finance market by creating new Sustainability linked bonds and loans and similar funding products for Macquarie.

As a Senior Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Execute on the debt investor engagement plan, including co-ordinating roadshows, analysing client data for target audience, assist with construction and review of debt investor presentations, SF investor presentations, and marketing SF products
  • This includes proposing a roadshow schedule with existing and new target investors, SF marketing/engagement and re-engagement. Planning should include frequency, jurisdictions and messaging
  • Co-ordinate with the Execution, CCIR and Bank Relationship teams, assist with collating information for the Macquarie narrative to be shared with investors
  • Review and direct investor query response including for Sustainable finance 
  • Monitor SF regulatory change, help set up for, and adapt to market standards and regulation
  • Help review SF Annual report
  • Provide detailed investor feedback for upload to Salesforce, and utilise this information to help direct focus
  • Work with the businesses to understand their ESG assets and direction
  • Increase presence in the Sustainable Finance market by creating new Sustainability linked bonds and loans and similar funding products
  • longer term considerations -Assist to develop strategy around funds transfer pricing incentives and proposing a carbon balance sheet

You will have strong communication and influencing skills with a proven ability to apply a commercial lens and focus on the bigger picture. Experience in a highly numerate and analytical environment with in-depth knowledge of a treasury or debt capital markets function would be considered favourably.
