Manager, Marketing Technology

Join Macquarie Asset Management as a strategic and detail-oriented Manager, Marketing Technology on our growing Global Digital team. In this role you will focus on enabling the marketing team to optimize the client journey across our digital ecosystem and aid the digital marketing team in creating targeted, personalized campaigns. You will combine our marketing strategies with data and technology, and ensure our campaigns get to clients flawlessly and efficiently. You will also own relationships with marketing technology partners as well as working closely with IT to build a best-in-class martech stack.


As a Manager you will be held accountable for creating and executing a marketing technology roadmap that is aligned with business goals. You will be expected to partner with Marketing, Sales and business stakeholders to strategically select and implement technology in support of Marketing Programs. Your role will require you to stay current with emerging technology and strategies used to support the customer experience and present findings on a regular basis. You will also Manage prioritization and governance of marketing technology projects with cross-functional stakeholders to continually optimize and integrate the marketing technology stack.


Additional key accountabilities in this role include:


  • Defining the features and benefits of marketing technology solutions and ensure they are properly communicated to all project stakeholders.
  • Researching and evaluating vendors to fit identified requirements.
  • Documenting requirements for marketing systems that support day-to-day business needs, innovation opportunities and/or integration requirements.
  • Maintaining and enhancing the existing solution stack, focusing on full adoption.
  • Partnering with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure marketing technology is compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Serving as marketing subject matter expert and point of contact for issues and programs related to marketing technology and associated integrations.
  • Partnering with internal technology partners and external vendors to manage ongoing technical updates, integrations and patches.
  • Vendor and IT relationship management


Furthermore, you will be responsible for reviewing, testing, piloting and innovating with new technologies that will keep the company at the forefront of developments in emerging media and marketing technology. You may also be asked to action other tasks as assigned by your manager.


Ideally, you will bring the following skills to this role:

  • Maintaining a strong ability to assess priorities and multi-task
  • Able to iterate delivery of solutions that can meet immediate needs, while building towards the long-term strategic solution
  • Staying current with digital marketing trends and give advice for the outlined strategy
  • Utilizing a test and learn mentality to push the business forward
  • Ability to implement technology projects into enterprises with evidence of adoption and/or ROI.
  • Providing leadership and guidance for business leads and super users.
  • Interpreting business needs to solution requirements and take initiative in identifying critical needs and possible solutions before they may even be known.
  • Prior product management & business systems analysis experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills spanning business and technical audiences.
  • Practical experience with CRM and Marketing Automation solutions.


To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelors degree in related technical major (e.g. CS, CIS, IS, etc.), or equivalent work experience, preferably. You will also need prior experience (5+ years) in a Marketing Technology, Marketing Operations, or related position as well as experience with Salesforce, Digital Experience / CMS (preferably AEM), a marketing automation platform (preferably Pardot), and other MarTech tools. Your experience with Workfront project management software, JIRA or similar project management software will be advantageous. Financial services industry experience is a plus.
