As a Site Reliability Engineer in Macquarie’s Asset Management technology team, you will apply software engineering practices to operate and maintain Java-based and python applications built on cloud platforms. You will have the opportunity to help define how we provide technology support to a growing and global business. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with others to deliver outcomes, while being exposed to the asset management industry.
In this role, you will advance monitoring, reporting and alerting capabilities, enhance existing systems so that they repair themselves, automate tasks as well as monitor and support microservices that integrate applications. You will work with the broader technology team to deliver solutions, and engage in and improve the platform service delivery lifecycle.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- a passion for automation and continuous innovation
- knowledge of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering principles
- development knowledge using Java or Python,
- experience in source control (e.g. Bitbucket), CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Bamboo), and SDLC tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence), and
- ability to create SQL statements, Windows and Unix scripts.
Experience in these are desirable, but not mandatory:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS),
- Airflow, ControlM, AutoSys or equivalent workload automation solutions.
- Splunk or equivalent monitoring tools
