Join our Global Market’s and Commodities team as an Energy Strategy Analyst.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing fundamental analysis across energy markets, including forecasting, and reporting underlying drivers and future trends. You will be developing detailed commodity supply and demand models, tracking global commodity flows, following key oil market, geopolitical, and economic developments, and data-mining energy statistics from government and industry sources.
You will also be writing commodity strategy reports and monitoring key industry dynamics across the energy value chain. You will be participating in broader industry and corporate events as well as liaising with macro strategy and sales teams globally. You are expected to deliver findings to internal clients and more broadly to sector professionals and representing Macquarie at industry-related forums
You will need to bring the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, or Sciences.
- Excellent analytical, numerical reasoning, written and verbal communication skills
- Technical proficiency (Excel, Tableau, Python, Bloomberg, etc) will be essential
