Associate, Metals and Bulks Sales – Asia


An excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join our talented and high performing Commodity Derivative Sales team, focusing on Metals and Bulks Sales.  

You will play a vital role in driving business revenue, establishing new client relationships and servicing our existing client base.

Working in our Tokyo office, you will be responsible for:

  • Handling Sales Execution on OTC Commodity Derivatives including LME Base & Precious Metals, Bulk Commodities and China Commodity Futures
  • Building relationships with a wide variety of clients in Asia, and providing active client coverage to meet their Price Risk Management needs
  • Conducting Analysis of Client positions and Risks to pro-actively structure and originate OTC Commodity Derivative transactions
  • Preparing Presentations as well as Market Commentary and Analysis
  • Identifying new opportunities to promote our product and grow our revenue
  • Working with other internal desks to leverage the wider Macquarie Platform

With experience in commodities sales or related fields, you are commercial and confident in your ability to create new business. You are a team player and enjoy working with others in a collaborative environment. You have excellent communication skills, are highly numerate with strong attention to detail, and can demonstrate resilience and drive. Managing competing priorities and having an ability to multitask, whilst maintaining the highest level of client commitment, will be crucial to your success. Given the client group you will be supporting, fluency in Japanese and English is preferred.
