In this pivotal leadership role, you will work with our senior stakeholders in GT and FMG to provide advice to manage capital and liquidity regulatory reporting risk as well as analytics and platforms risk.
Our team works closely with Macquarie's business units offering strategic advice and guidance on executing key considered decisions. Within this energised team, you will be exposed to the inner workings of an internationally active financial conglomerate group. You will be responsible for coaching and developing a high-calibre team in Sydney and as well as indirectly managing an offshore team’s. You will contribute to the development of policies and practices that will shape the outcome of Macquarie's business activities, whist partnering with Macquarie’s senior management and operational divisions
As a competent Treasury professional, you will have previous experience in managing the operational risk of regulatory reporting, data, platforms and analytics.
Joining the Group Treasury Reporting, Risk, Analytics and Platform team within our Financial Management Group, you will be the central driver for:
- Leading the RRAP Risk team to enhance, embed and harmonise our regulatory reporting risk frameworks and data management frameworks across Group Treasury’s ANZ and EMEA regulatory reporting
- Keeping the GT, FMG and Risk Management Group management and wider GT RRAP capital and liquidity reporting team, analytics and platforms teams and our stakeholders abreast of global regulatory expectations as they relate to capital and liquidity regulatory reporting, regulatory reporting risk trends and challenges and data risk management.
- Guiding and mentoring our regulatory risk managers within our global team (located in Sydney Australia, Gurugram India and Jacksonville USA) to deliver the team business risk advisory core and project programs of work.
To be successful in this role, you will bring Treasury risk experience within large financial institutions as well as exposure with data and systems used for regulatory reporting. You will have demonstrated experience in managing high performing teams; developing, implementing, and advising on control frameworks and be confident managing change across functional teams throughout both project and change delivery. You will be a self-starter with a partnering mindset.
Your technical skills and qualifications will include a finance-related tertiary degree, 15+ years’ post-qualification experience, and significant experience in bank treasury processes. Previous exposure to internal/external audits, projects and regulatory engagement is advantageous.
