An exciting opportunity exists for you to join our Commodities and Global Markets OneCGM Technology team and play a driving role in modernizing our hosting environment. This will be achieved through simplification, optimization, and effective risk management practices.
Whilst this role will be responsible for leading and achieving outcomes, your proven experience being able to operate hands on in diagnosing technical issues as well as providing detailed input into new solution designs will be instrumental to your success. Implementation of these designs in alignment with our Delivery processes will also be a core part of the role.
You will thrive in a fast-paced, solution-focused environment and draw on your collaborative and problem-solving skills to achieve optimal outcomes for OneCGM and your stakeholders in a space that is undergoing a large transformation. You will think critically to understand and navigate through to outcomes and use your exceptional people skills to negotiate and manage through ambiguity as you achieve the desired results.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- a strong sense of ownership and integrity to directly drive results
- conceptual understanding of all levels within the technology stack (primarily storage, operating system, and virtualisation)
- relationship management skills across mid and junior levels of the organisation
- flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment where priorities shift as we balance across multiple required outcomes in parallel
- a strong sense of self and confidence to build trust with your stakeholders
- experience in Capital Markets and/or Regulatory Reporting will be preferred but not essential
- strong diagnosis skills
Essential Skills and Experience:
- solid experience (minimum 10 years) delivering technology implementations and BAU in a global, complex, cross-functional financial services environment
- a wide range of Unix skills is desirable, however these technologies specifically will be required:
- RedHat Linux
- Ansible and Puppet
- Cloud (Amazon)
