Join our Commodities and Global Market’s Group as an Attorney working directly for the Credit Markets Division.
In this role, you will work with our origination, underwriting and closing teams within the Credit Markets Division with a focus on lending / fund financing transactions and deals. This role will give you the unique opportunity to gain a deep knowledge of the Credit Markets and broad exposure to private credit funds based in the U.S., UK and Europe.
To be successful in this role, you will have 2+ years of experience as a practicing fund formation and structuring attorney with a familiarity in private fund structures, from traditional credit funds and hedge funds, to distressed, opportunistic and hybrid funds. Strong communication skills and attention to detail will aid in your success.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Review of comprehensive offering and organizational documents (LPA, IMA, etc.)
- Review of complex fund structures, managed accounts, strategic investor and seed transactions, GP and manager agreements, onshore and offshore fund structures
- Structuring lending transactions
- Leading negotiations with clients
- Liaising with internal and external deal counsel to prepare transaction documents
- Advising deal team and other internal stakeholders, including credit risk and compliance
