Manager, Group Treasury - Regulatory Capital

Sydney

This role will include:

  • Working with complex capital related data and systems to investigate and document the capital calculation logic
  • Collaborating with regulatory capital SMEs to understand capital treatments
  • Contributing to capital transformation projects
  • Having an eye for detail with the ability and curiosity to investigate when required
  • Working in a dynamic, diverse environment and adapting to change
  • Analysing the impact of new regulations or transactions on capital data and systems
  • Taking ownership of tasks and being accountable for their delivery

Ideally you will have:

  • An intellectually curious mind and an ability to understand and succinctly explain complex data or problems
  • A strong understanding of, or interest in, APRA prudential standards and/or frameworks applicable to banks, in particular credit risk
  • Commercial acumen and an ability to see the bigger picture
  • A relevant academic background in a technical, financial or quantitative degree, e.g. software engineering, actuarial, accounting, economics, engineering, mathematics
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills coupled with an ability to understand and succinctly explain complex data
  • Programming skills e.g Python, R and SQL
  • Experience with PowerBI and Alteryx (or similar) will be viewed favourably, as will experience with Moody’s Risk Authority
  • Clear & concise written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage with all levels of management including non-technical stakeholders

About Group Treasury

Group Treasury is responsible for managing the Group's capital, funding and liquidity position.  The team advises senior management on balance sheet capacity, cost, risk and return and supports the CFO on strategic issues. It is also responsible for supporting the Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO).

The Financial Management Group provides financial, tax and treasury services to all areas of Macquarie.
