Senior Regional Travel Manager

New York, Philadelphia

Join our New York or Philadelphia office as a Senior Regional Travel Manager.

You’ll be responsible for the travel category including the development of regional and market level strategies that continuously improve end-user travel experience, deliver best-in-class commercial results (ROI) and policy compliance. This role will also provide expert level advisory services and reporting to the business with a high-risk management mindset.

This is a high-profile position that requires strong relationship building skills with senior stakeholders, including regional business COO’s, Global Procurement and Corporate Operations Group leaders. The position also serves as the face and voice of Macquarie for our key industry suppliers and partners.

Your ability to work collaboratively will be key, as you work closely with other key stakeholder groups such as Global Security, Event Management, Business Resilience and Payment Operations (AP) to ensure travel fulfils a range of compliance, business continuity and other risk related requirements.

You will also develop strong and productive relationships with air, hotel, ground transport, Amex and other travel suppliers to maximize economic outcomes, deliver key mutual objectives, value and leverage to Macquarie.

Bringing your attention to detail you will be responsible for the development of a customer centric and future focused America’s region Travel & Corporate Card strategy that aligns with, leverages and supports the global category strategy.

Your desire for ownership will set you up for success as you participate on the global travel team, assume the strategic ownership of various global initiatives, and deploy other globally led strategies. Lastly, you will be responsible for developing and implementing customized business unit plans and other travel related initiatives from analysis, recommendation, implementation, training, post implementation reporting through to completion and sign-off.

This will be further maximized as you drive best-in-class Americas Travel Management Company (TMC) results, which include:

    • overall performance of TMC operations across the region and policy compliance;  control and optimize the TMC economic framework and travel pricing to maximize Macquarie’s Travel Return on Investment;
    • anticipate and develop alternative service configurations based on stakeholder needs;
    • identifying improvement opportunities in TMC Operations and driving agreed initiatives through to satisfactory completion;
    • delivering proactive and effective leadership of all TMC staff assigned to Macquarie that maximizes performance, output and Macquarie stakeholder satisfaction.

Your drive for continuous improvement is critical as you’ll identify and drive opportunities for continuous process and workflow improvement, cost savings and other efficiencies across the range of direct and indirect travel services.

If you have 7+ years’ experience in Strategic Travel programs, Procurement and/or Sourcing with a strategic mindset with the ability to formulate compelling strategies and business plans we would love to hear from you.
