Working within a supportive and high performing team you will be providing indirect tax support for the Asia region. This means responsibility for providing tax advice to various businesses, including the review and approval of structures, new business, new products and transaction proposals. You will also play a role in ensuring we meet all compliance responsibilities within each jurisdiction together with other members of the Tax and Finance teams . You will also be required to take ownership for advising on tax implications of major corporate actions such as restructuring, acquisitions, disposals, capital and profit repatriation.
Liaising with Tax,Finance, the businesses and other stakeholdersboth regionally and globally, you will also be accountable for resolving revenue query letters, tax disputes and tax audits as well as assisting in the maintenance and application of internal tax policies, processes, controls and governance measures.
You will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (or Tax Lawyer) with around 6-8 years’ experience in Tax within Chartered Accounting, a legal practice, or from within a tax division of a large multinational corporation. You will also have ideally gained technical tax experience within financial services and specifically within different countries in the Asia region.
We are looking for a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple deliverables with an ordered and structured approach, excellent communication and listening skills, who also has the ability to develop relationships with high levels of drive, energy and commitment.
