Strategy Research Associate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Strategy Research Associate to join Macquarie Capital’s Strategy team in New York.

Macquarie Capital’s Strategy team is a small and dedicated unit that specializes in macro and thematic research. Our publication field is exceptionally wide and includes not just macro research but also impact of demographics, technological evolution, and political, social, and geopolitical factors. We run both Global and Asia-Pacific portfolios where we apply our ideas and measure performance.

As an Associate, you will work closely with the Head of Global and Asia-Pacific Equity Strategy. Initially, you will focus on manipulating data, updating the team’s extensive data files as well as assisting in preparation of research papers. Over time, you will progress onward to authoring stand-alone notes and updates, ultimately carving out your niche within the team’s coverage.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Practical knowledge of Factset, Datastream, CEIC and Bloomberg
  • Strong Excel skills
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience, particularly in investment banking, equity, macro or global market research
  • Working knowledge of economic and finance, preferably
