Regulatory Operations Analyst


Join our Market Operations team as a Regulatory Operations analyst. 

In this role, you’ll need to work closely with Compliance, Risk, Technology, and the wider business to deliver Regulatory Assurance projects. You will liaise with stakeholders to review and document regulatory reports, ensuring they are accurate and complete. Lastly, you will need to ensure Regulatory Assurance projects are being delivered on schedule, provide additional analysis and subject matter expertise for Regulatory Assurance projects, as well as support Regulatory Operations daily reporting. You will also develop and maintain a pro-active relationship with the business and key support areas, both locally and regionally.

You will need to bring the ability to quickly learn and understand our proprietary deal capture system with little supervision, which includes understanding deal structure and characteristics, coupled with the ability to extract relevant reporting data as well as the ability to conduct independent verification of reporting data. You will showcase your enthusiasm, flexibility and initiative in this challenging and varied role.

Other relevant skills include:

  • minimum 3 years’ experience in the Financial and/or Energy sector, preferably in a Regulatory Operations or Compliance role
  • highly motivated with a confident and professional attitude, and possess high levels of attention to detail
  • possess general knowledge of regulatory reporting obligations for the cash equities, power, gas, and crude markets in North America
  • have working experience with reporting to various state and federal Regulatory agencies which includes, but not limited to, FERC, EIA, ISOs, California ARB, EPA, NEB, Canadian provinces, FINRA and SEC.
