Investment Management Attorney - 1940 Act


Become a key part of Macquarie Asset Management by joining our team as an Attorney focusing on our US Public Markets business based in our Philadelphia office.  You will have the desire to expand your skill set and take on new responsibilities, working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a company that is growing. 

You will contribute with your expertise in focusing on registered open- and closed-end funds, including registration work, review of shareholder reports, preparation of board materials, negotiation of service agreements, advertising review, and special projects.  In addition, you will provide legal support for portfolio investments (private placements, derivatives and complex securities, corporate actions), general corporate matters, special projects, and litigation matters.


Preferred Background

  • 5-10 years as a practicing attorney (including significant law firm experience)
  • Investment management industry experience
    • Experience supporting funds registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940 (preferably law firm experience)
    • Familiarity with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940
    • Familiarity with other federal securities laws
    • Familiarity with the financial services industry
    • Experience negotiating contracts (e.g., investment advisory agreements, other service agreements, derivatives contracts, etc.)
