Macquarie is embarking on a large transformation program to reinvent authentication management in the organization. As the Authentication team’s Architect, you will serve as strategic thought leader and technical expert to design and implement IAM authentication services and solutions. You will work with the Service Owner and Project Manager to deliver the project within an inclusive and collaborative environment.

Your responsibilities in this role include:

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert to provide technical direction and make critical architecture decisions for authentication services
  • Understand customer requirements and transform those into an architectural solution
  • Collaborate with suppliers, internal technology teams, and customers to design and implement a ‘best-in-class’ authentication solution to enable modern authentication for staff, technology and business owners
  • Be involved in the authentication service entire life cycle and provide technical expertise to the operations team to assist with solving critical technical challenges
  • Interface across all business areas, acting as visionaries to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects and providing architectural design, guidance and oversight
  • Contribute to the development of standards and best practices for all aspects of authentication services as well as identifying and communicating risks associated with authentication services from a compliance perspective.
  • Provide mentorship to junior members to develop technical skills within the team

Ideally, you will have:

  • 5+ years working experience in Identity and Access Management (SSO, Federation, Multi-Factor) to make critical operational and strategic decisions
  • Strong understanding of SSO technologies and protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, FIDO, SCIM, LDAP, KERBEROS)
  • Advanced knowledge on PingIdentity solutions
  • Extensive expertise on architecting, designing and implementing complex authentication solutions
  • Extensive experience with defining authentication strategy, roadmap, standards and design patterns
  • Good knowledge of Cloud Platforms such as AWS and Azure
  • Clear understanding of the compliance and regulatory impacts to the proposed solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to meet objectives, deliver quality results in a high-performance environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to communicate with customers, stakeholders, team members and management in a cross functional matrix organization
