As an Analyst on our team, you will be involved in investment of equity capital from Macquarie’s own balance sheet into infrastructure projects and businesses in Latin America, encompassing greenfield project development, including P3/PPPs, and brownfield principal investments spanning the transport, water, social and digital infrastructure sectors. The role involves supporting the Infrastructure Investment and Development team in assessing principal infrastructure opportunities, building financial models, conducting due diligence, market and industry research, preparing materials to support a transaction for both internal and external stakeholders and engaging professionally with our counterparties, such as industry partners and co-investors, due diligence advisors and client representatives.
You will have an outstanding academic record and combine the knowledge obtained in your undergraduate degree (preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or Law) with your previous experience (2+ years) within the infrastructure, communications and/or energy sectors in either Investment Banking, Project Finance, Principal Investing, Private Equity or Project Development to quickly make an impact. Relevant experience in the digital infrastructure sector will also be highly regarded.
Your knowledge of all stages in infrastructure transaction execution, including origination, diligence, and execution of equity, debt, and M&A transactions will enable you to summarize and present the results in a succinct manner. You will use your expertise in financial modelling (ideally project finance models) to evaluate performance under various operating scenarios and to analyze the impacts of different capital structures.
If you have experience arranging and structuring equity or debt for greenfield infrastructure projects and/or brownfield infrastructure transactions in the transportation, water, social, digital infrastructure or power generation sectors, gained at another Investment Bank or Energy Private Equity/Buyside, we want to hear from you.
