Structurer, Global Fund Finance

Join our Global Fund Finance team as a Structurer in New York. 

The team specializes in lending and derivative transactions with top tier private equity funds and hedge funds. You will be involved in developing and negotiating highly structured transactions, analyzing a range of different funds and asset classes.

Working closely with senior members, you will be mentored by a high performing team with an extensive track record of developing innovative and “market first” financing structures.

Bringing a natural aptitude for developing and building relationships at all levels, you’ll engage with a range of business stakeholders and clients.  Considered by the market as a highly specialized fund finance team, we’re looking for you to bring an inquisitive mindset to analyze both qualitative and quantitative information, strong verbal communication skills and be comfortable operating both independently and in a global team environment.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate a strong academic track-record within a relevant degree (although a science or engineering degree will also be well-regarded). You will have 2 to 5 years of experience within a complex commercial environment in one or more of the following areas:

  • Debt capital markets
  • Cross border financing
  • Structured derivatives
  • Credit risk management, specifically portfolio risk and/or special situations credit
  • Tax, regulatory, legal and operations frameworks of prudentially regulated institutions.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong communication skills and an ability to develop and maintain close working relationships
  • Strong numeracy and an analytical mind
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and report writing skills
  • Highly articulate and organized with strong attention to detail
  • The ability to handle a fast-paced working environment

Commodities and Global Markets provides clients with an integrated, end-to-end offering across global markets including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities.

Macquarie's Specialized and Asset Finance division is a leading structured & asset finance and leasing specialist.  It is responsible for the investment in and financing of capital equipment in industries where earnings flow from the use of these assets.  SAF provides finance solutions for government and corporate markets and are one of the largest independent providers of operating lease finance in the Asia-Pacific region as well as having significant operations in Europe and North America.  SAF has approximately 900 staff engaged in leasing and asset finance / lending activities in diverse asset classes across various locations through Australia, Asia, Europe, and North America.
