Join Macquarie and accelerate your career at a forward-thinking, client-focused firm. Professionals at Macquarie work harder and think differently to create more profitable outcomes for their clients. By joining Macquarie, you will have the opportunity to work in an exciting, dynamic environment where your contribution is recognized from day one.
Due to the continued expansion of Macquarie’s growth capital business in the Americas, we have an opportunity for an Associate Director with 10+ years’ experience to join our Credit team in New York. The role will be focused on growth capital investments, equity investing and corporate lending.
In this role, you will work closely and collaboratively with a team of senior approvers, analysts and senior business stakeholders to structure and approve transactions. You will be leading and managing the risk management diligence process, identifying key issues, coordinating the credit response and approval process. Key to the role will be the ability to form a view through diligence on whether a transaction is within Macquarie’s risk appetite, and if not, determine and propose acceptable alternative structures where appropriate.
You will bring previous experience in structuring early-stage growth capital investments, have strong industry expertise in the technology sector and ideally previous experience in cash flow lending.
Persuasive communication skills (both written and verbal), combined with confidence when being challenged and experience presenting to senior stakeholders will be imperative as this role will have exposure to senior management, including the Head of Credit, Head of Risk Management and CEO as part of the approval process.
This role will suit you if you are passionate, driven and have a growth mindset. You will display a strong level of resilience and the ability to defend your view. If you have a history of building longstanding and positive working relationships with key stakeholders across multiple teams and can work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we would love to hear from you.
