Security Analyst


The Cyber Exposure Identification team under Platform and Engineering is responsible for Macquarie’s vulnerability management services from discovery, scanning, contextualization and reporting across the entire technology fleet.

Your role will focus on maintaining and supporting the vulnerability scanning and contextualization technologies in a hybrid cloud and on-premise environment. You will also be working closely with infrastructure, security and business teams on service improvement and expansion as well as providing guidance with validation and risk assessment of vulnerabilities.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Demonstrable experience in vulnerability management for enterprise environments both On-Prem, Private and Public Cloud such as AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Working experience with Vulnerability management tools scanning a wide range of assets for both Cloud and On-prem environments such as Tenable or Qualys.
  • Knowledge and experience in Dynamic and static application security testing (DAST/SAST) and use of application security testing tools such as Web Inspect, Fortify Source Code Analyzer and Black Duck is desirable.
  • Basic Linux and Windows server knowledge for validation of vulnerabilities and basic troubleshooting scanning issues, agent installs, performance monitoring.
  • Proven ability to communicate security problems and solutions effectively with both business and technical stakeholders and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Network Mapping tools such as Algosec, Skybox or Tufin and knowledgeable with basics of VPN, Routing and Firewall devices to maintain network maps and assess exposure of vulnerabilities is desirable. (CISCO, PALO ALTO, ARUBA, Algosec)
  • Knowledge in Python, shell scripting, and/or any other programming languages is desirable.
  • Sufficient Data Analytics and Reporting experience is a plus. (Splunk, Power BI, API Integration, MySQL)
  • Security Certification is desirable (COMPTIA SECURITY +, CISSP, ECSA, CEH, SANS etc.)
