As an Analyst in the Corporate Development & Strategy team, you will work with an experienced team on the execution of strategic principal investing, mergers & acquisitions, and partnerships globally and will have primary responsibility for the financial modelling, analysis, and diligence of potential strategic transactions; as well as in-depth research tasks related to broader strategic initiatives such as new product and business line development. Team members will also be involved in the underwriting of different types of alternative principal investments as it relates to building out investment capabilities / alternatives businesses that are strategic priorities of Macquarie Asset Management.
The team has recently completed acquisitions in US and Europe, including a large US listed take-private in securities investment management, real estate asset management sectors and technology investments.
Leveraging 2-4 years of experience in top-tier investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or corporate development you will play a key role in the ongoing success of the team. Prior related transaction experience and skills in financial modelling and corporate finance will be considered favourably in connection with applications. Our team values entrepreneurial spirit, ambition, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and the ability to learn new skills quickly in a fast-paced and exciting work environment. A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required for this role and majors in mathematics/economics/finance/accounting or quantitative fields are preferred.
