Join our Americas regional team in either Houston or New York and play a key role in Macquarie’s Support Group Compliance.
Support Group Compliance provides global compliance coverage to our Support Group functions which cover a wide range of activity across Macquarie’s divisions globally such as:
- Market Operations
- Initiatives and issues in technology such as cyber security, data management, transition to cloud and facilitating remote working arrangements
- Regulatory records management
- Client Money
- Supplier and premises management
- Human Resources
- Treasury, finance and corporate affairs
You will report to the Houston-based Americas Head of Support Group Compliance and be responsible for compliance coverage across divisions within the Support Groups in the Americas.
This role will offer a highly varied portfolio of work and give you the opportunity to act as a trusted advisor, working closely with staff at all levels. You will advise the Finance and Operations divisions, perform regulatory gap-analysis and risk assessments, assist in audits, maintain policies and contribute to various projects.
Significant elements of your success will be your ability to:
- establish and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders in the Americas (primarily based in New York and Houston) and globally in the various divisions you cover
- establish and maintain ongoing connection with your teammates in other regions globally, to enable you to learn from their insights and contribute yours to them
- have strong attention to detail, the ability to digest rules and regulations and advise the business.
To be successful in this role, prior experience in financial markets and having an understanding of operations and trading would be beneficial. Effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to proactively identity and analyze problems and propose and oversee/implement viable solutions will also be imperative.
