Join our Human Resources group in Macquarie’s New York office and play an important role within this function as an Employee Relations Consultant.
This team provides comprehensive legal and strategic employee relations advice and support to Macquarie's businesses in the Americas.
Bringing your collaborative approach, you will be responsible for advising management with respect to relevant HR practices and employment risks as well as providing advice on practical people management and employment related issues (e.g. restructuring, performance management, accommodation requests).
Partnering with Security, Corporate Real Estate and Business Resilience, you will actively monitor government and health guidance to assist in the implementation of Macquarie’s return to office framework.
Your delivery driven approach will be utilized to play a key role in delivering key HR transactions including new business acquisitions, where you will assess and adopt best HR practices in line with Macquarie standards and applicable local employment laws.
Your attention to detail is required as you will be responsible for reviewing all employment-related documentation to ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies, including new hire employment agreements, consulting agreements, and separation agreements.
Your learning mindset and research focus will be critical as you will assist in updating a regional legal and compliance framework and identifying actions as required, including updates to current policies and practices to ensure compliance with relevant laws.
Furthermore, you will be providing compliance, consulting and operational support where required, coordinating employee relations training, performing management and investigatory work relating to any workplace complaint, including harassment and discrimination complaints, and assisting in the management of any employment litigation matters.
If you have a J.D or equivalent, practical knowledge of federal and state employment laws and experience working within an internal Human Resources function providing consultative advice to senior stakeholders this is a fantastic opportunity!
