Compliance Manager aligned to Group Support Functions


An excellent opportunity to join a new team in Sydney as a Manager in our Support Group Compliance team. Support Group Compliance provides global compliance coverage to our support functions which cover a wide range of activity across their divisions globally such as:   

  • Initiatives and issues in technology including cyber security, data management, transition to cloud and facilitating remote working arrangements
  • Client Money regime
  • Supplier and premises management
  • Human Resources
  • Market operations
  • Treasury, finance, and corporate communications

You will report to and support the ANZ Support Group Compliance Lead with compliance coverage across divisions within the Support Groups, with a primary focus and responsibility for the Market Operations Division within the Corporate Operations Group. You will provide compliance advisory and issue management relating to trade operations support activities and be exposed to regulatory regimes and frameworks including transaction reporting, margining, and collateral management.

This role will provide you with a varied portfolio of work and give you the opportunity to act as a trusted advisor and work closely with staff at all levels. This role will see you provide guidance to businesses, perform regulatory gap-analysis and risk assessments, assist in audits, maintain policies, and contribute to various projects.

To be successful in this role prior experience in financial markets would be beneficial. You will need effective interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships across various business stakeholders. You will also possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to proactively identify and analyse problems and propose viable solutions.
