Full Stack Java Developer

This is an exciting opportunity for you to work closely with a talented team of developers and diverse group of stakeholders across our global markets business and take responsibility for the full lifecycle of projects encompassing requirements gathering, planning, development, testing, release and support as a developer responsible for risk applications.

You will join our Risk Services Technology team and focus on high quality and consistent delivery to business objectives.  As part of the Asia Equity Risk Team, you will work on systems critical to front office pricing, trading and risk including market and credit risk management, rates capture, and margining. 

Although this is an equities aligned role and you will be situated with this business, you do not need to have domain or product experience. We would like to hear from you if you are passionate about technology and an expert java developer. We believe this is a role that will stimulate you as we are an agile environment and quickly moving to cloud technologies.

You will enjoy communicating with business users from a range of teams across the organization (front office through back office) to gather and clarify requirements, perform demos, arrange and coordinate testing. You will also play leading roles in systems integration, module and solution definition and design.

This role will be best suited to you if you have at least 4 years of professional experience (maximum 12 years) and enjoy working with complex, client and server side applications in a dynamic environment.

The technology used by this global team includes:

  • Java platform; RDBMS (Sybase preferred); Web services
  • Cloud experience
  • Messaging systems
  • Scripting language(s) experience (preferably Python)
  • Functional programming (e.g. JavaScript, Groovy, Scala)
  • JIRA; Distributed Version Control (ideally Git); Bamboo; Maven; automated deployment system such as uDeploy
