Join our Infrastructure and Real Assets business as an Executive/Manager within our dynamic and high performing Fund Management team in Singapore.
The Fund Management team is responsible for providing financial reporting, financial management and fund operation support to the Funds managed by our Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets Group for the Macquarie Asia Infrastructure Fund (MAIF) series including MAIF 1 and 2, and any future MAIF vintages. The team also has responsibility over South East Asian Funds including the Philippine Investment Alliance for Infrastructure (PINAI) and supports other funds outside the region. MAIF is MIRA’s first pan-Asia Fund which reached final close in February 2016 with US$2.3bn of investor commitments. MAIF 2 reached final close March 2018 with US$3.3bn of investor commitments. The MAIF series of funds has a mandate to invest equity and equity-like instruments directly in infrastructure businesses and projects throughout Asia-Pacific.
You will be involved in the full life cycle of each fund, including the capital raising process, ongoing fund management and reporting to the fund’s governing body and investors. You will be required to work closely with asset managers, transaction teams, legal and finance teams as well as fund investors both in Asia as well as globally.
Your role will involve assisting with financial and tax compliance activities, ensuring the integrity and financial completeness of financial records as well as assisting in fund lifecycle activities such as drawdowns, distributions and other activities. You will be involved in the production of the quarter end closing as well as compliance reporting and forecasting. In addition to these responsibilities you will also be required to co-ordinate responses to investor queries, confirmations, transfers and manage the onboarding of new investors
With a tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Economics, Commerce or Finance, you will have 5+ years of accounting and/or tax or other relevant experience from investment banking, funds, securities or the investment industry. Familiarity with financial accounting for both GAAP and IFRS would be strongly preferred. You must have proven hands-on experience and be very diligent, patient and detail oriented. You must have a high level of energy, commitment and flexibility, and have a collaborative and resourceful approach in solving issues/problems resulting in practical alternatives with a commercial mindset.
